There are some pictures of the decor under "flowers and decor", I will post more after we get the rest of our professional pictures back.

The Menu

We decided to go with a buffet rather than a sit down dinner beause we find it more receptive to keeping the guests social and mingling.  The food from Viceroy's on-site restaurant, Citron is always amazing and we knew we would not be disappointed...especially with a custom mashed potato bar!

We had a premium open bar as well.  All the good stuff...Grey Goose, Makers Mark, Patron...

Starters
Baby mixed green salad, seasonal berries, goat cheese, spiced pecans, and sherry wine vinaigrette
Yellowtail sashimi with jalepeno, crispy garlic, soy, and citrus

Entrees
Marinated grilled ribeye steak
Citrus chicken confit

Custom Mashed Potato Bar
Hot or cold potato station with assorted cheese fondues, variety of buttes, sea salts, white truffle oils and herbs

Sides
Grilled asparagus with hollandaise
Herbed basmati rice

Desserts
Creme brulee with rasberry sauce
Brownie with Tahitian vanilla ice cream and cherry compote

The Cake

We had a cupcake tower with a small 6 inch cake on top that we could cut.  The cupcakes were vanilla bean and chocolate, with a white chocolate fudge frosting.  Our  top cake was the vanilla bean because my weird husband hates chocolate.  I originally was going to have fresh flowers on top, but my baker did an awesome job making a big sugar flower sculpture.

My aunt got me an adorable cake cutting set that was a purse and a shoe.

Music

We had an ipod reception.  One of my best friends designed the playlist and put it all on an ipod as our wedding gift.  She also gave us her entire music library...about 5000 songs.   It worked out beautifully for the cocktail hour and dinner.  The dancing part went a little awry, because several guests wanted to DJ, and would scroll through the music and pick their own selections mid-song.  But overall, few people noticed at that point and we still had lots of fun.  So my advice for anyone considering an ipod would be to make sure you have a designated person to act as a DJ.  Our best man acted as the MC for the toasts, cake cutting, and bouquet and garter toss, and did a great job.
