The Shoes
I care way more about shoes than a dress I will wear once. One of the only wedding details I had ever fantasized about was blue Manolo Blahnik shoes. And then, right before my engagement, these cobalt satin shoes arrived at the boutique where I work. Shoes...check.
The Dress
I found my dress on the first day. I decided to check out my favorite store BCBG. I remember seeing 2 cute dresses online that may work. I tried them on, and the second one just felt right. Simple, modern, fit well, and cheap! It was a 20 minute decision. With my gift card it was $218. Leaving more for my shoe budget!
Why do I look pregnant here?
Something Old, Something New...
Something Old: My grandmother's vintage beaded white purse and a hankie that my friend found at a vintage store.
Something New: A diamond circle necklace from my Aunt and my crystal "I Do" panties by Hanky Panky.
Something Borrowed: The garter that David caught at our friend's wedding 3 months before we got engaged.
Something Blue: My shoes.
Our Rings
I decided not to get a wedding band because I love how tiny and delicate the band of pave diamonds is on my ring. The ring is a Harry Winston replica with a cushion cut center stone surrounded by micro-pave diamonds.
David's ring is palladium. Satin finish in the center, polished on the edges, with milligraining.
Bridesmaids
I also found the bridesmaid dresses at the BCBG outlet. I wanted my colors to be all cream, with texture and interesting detail. I found these lace layered shift minis for $89. They had the casual vintage feel that I was going for. I found their shoes there also. I loved how the lace looked against these gunmetal faux python sandals.
Groom and Groomsmen
David wore a black Zara suit, and a black tie. Since he loves shoes as much as I do, he had to get some hot shoes too, so he found some black patent faux stingray and alligator Creative Recreations. The groomsmen wore black suits and ties and solid black Converse.
